MIDLETON LAUNCHES OLDEST WHISKEY TO DATE

Midleton, the powerhouse distillery and home of Irish Distillers have released the fifth bottle in their ‘Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection’. This bottle marks marks the fifth chapter of Irish Distillers’ Silent Distillery Collection.
This bottle is a 49-year-old whiskey and it’s Midleton’s oldest whiskey to date. Midleton Very Rare was created by Master Distiller Max Crockett, with one final release to follow.
Crockett originally distilled the spirit in 1973, using at the time the world’s largest pot still. Since then the spirit has been kept under the watchful eye of all three of the brands Master Distillers.
Bottled at 52.4%, the whiskey is available in Europe, USA, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Persian Gulf and Singapore at a RRP of €55,000 / US$55,000.
IMidleton, under Irish Distillers has been owned by Pernod Ricard since 1988, with the Irish whiskey brand Jameson their most famous asset. Their brands are exported to 130+ markets across the world.
