The English Founder’s Private Cellar – 16 Year Old Port Cask
The Founder’s Private Cellar is an incredibly rare release of some of the English Whisky Co’s most individualistic casks. They are incredibly proud each time they release a cask from the cellar, which was first started by James Nelstrop, the founder.

This sublime bottling is testament to the quality of whisky produced by The English Distillery. and a celebration of our Founders dream to make whisky in England.

The Norfolk Popcorn (95 points at IWSC!)
Gold winner and 95 points at the prestigious IWSC.
The English Whisky Co have been waiting a long time to release The Norfolk – Popcorn. Several years ago they spent some time experimenting with Bourbon type ingredients and eventually settled on a top secret mix of maize, rye and barley as their core cereals. The resulting matured whisky has caused huge excitement with the team at the distillery as it is far better than ever predicted. They sent it to their members to try and the feedback has been wonderful, with some saying it tastes Bourbon-esque, others that it is incredibly easy to drink and is rich and smooth. For those of you wondering why Popcorn, the whisky is made using lots of Maize, just the same as popcorn.
LIMITED EDITION – VINTAGE CASK VATTING
El Rayo Plata
Plata perfectly captures the vibrant flavours of Mexico’s majestic blue agave plant. Herbal aromas give way to bright citrus notes warmed by a hint of peppery spice. The fresh and savoury flavours balance perfectly with bittersweet Indian tonic water.
Singleton of Glen Ord 38 Year Old
£2,050.00 inc. VATThe Singleton 38-year-old is a rare and irresistibly rich single malt Scotch whisky drawn from just eight casks from The Singleton of Glen Ord distillery, a marriage of Bourbon, Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso and American Oak. At 38 years old, this whisky is approaching four decades in the making and only 1,689 bottles have been released of this extra-long double matured whisky. At natural strength, a thick, creamy texture and a vibrant, sweet start in which rich opening notes of fudge lead smoothly into a lightly spicy, intense, and fruity taste suggesting cinnamon-spiced baked apple, drying gently into an autumnal peppery warmth that envelopes the palate. Appreciably deeper in taste than its younger siblings, it shows the classic Singleton smoothness, being richly flavoured, well balanced, and easy to drink straight. The palate opens to reveal hints of orange citrus while with a dash of water more sweet flavours of vanilla ice cream and caramel fudge are perfectly balanced by just a trace of salt, still with a light touch of that Szechuan pepper warmth.

The Talisker 30 is elegant and complex, with the classic Talisker hallmarks of pepper and smoke in a softer and subtler way.
Cambus 40 Year Old

Cambus was now one of the most extensive grain whisky distilleries, covering eight acres when visited by Alfred Barnard in 1887. The nose is lively with fruity top notes of red apple, pineapple and gooseberry above strawberry chewy sweets, milk chocolate and toffee. The palate is light and drying with pine notes building in sweetness with salted caramel, pear drops and plum characteristics. The finish is short yet warm and gentle.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
