We recently sent Whisky_Cellar some samples to try and review, including a Dalmore 15 Year old, Morris Australian Single Malt and The English Sherry Butt Small Batch Release. Here’s what he had to say about these exceptional whiskies.

Dalmore 15 Year Old

This delicious whisky matured in Matusalem, Apostoles and Amoroso Sherry casks that gives it the unique taste.

Nose: Orange, chocolate, fruity cake, nut

Palate: Zesty orange, chocolate, ginger spice, hint of anise, cinnamon

Finish: Espresso, chocolate, malted barley with long sweet finish.

Morris Australian Single Malt

This delicious single malt has been aged in American and French oak casks, before being finished in fortified wine barrels used by the Rutherglen-based winery. This finish gives it orchard fruits, black cherries and shortbread biscuits flavours.

The English Sherry Butt Small Batch Release

This whisky was distilled back in November 2013 before maturing in sherry casks for 8 Years. sherry But maturation imparted wonderfully delicate flavours to this whisky; the flavours shine though resulting in a wonderful taste reminiscent of sticky toffee pudding.

Nose: Chocolate, christmas pudding, dried fruit

Palate: Bitter orange, toffee, caramel,

Finish: Sweet long finish with dried fruit and chocolate notes.
