THIEF STUFFS $41,000 JOHNNIE WALKER WHISKY DOWN PANTS IN MELBOURNE HEIST!
Earlier this week, Australian police reached out to the public to ask them to help identify an alleged thief, who stole a bottle of $41,000 Johnnie Walker whisky… by stuffing it down his pants!
The theft which, occurred on May 22nd, showed a man wearing a black baseball cap and black t-shirt walking into whisky store and conversing with staff. As he was asking questions about some whiskies, he snatched the whisky when the member of staff turned away for “a brief moment”. The man then did a runner and was seen on CCTV running through a car park holding the whisky inside his shorts.
The whisky in questions is Johnnie Walker Masters of Flavour, it was released back in 2021 final release in the distiller’s Masters series, with only 288 bottles being produced. Whilst the bottle can be purchased in the UK for £19,500, taxes and demand abroad meant the bottle was on sale for a much higher figure.
