Talisker Glacial Edge 45 Year Old
£4,425.00 inc. VATIn 1830, the MacAskill brothers rowed across the Atlantic from the Isle of Eigg to the formidable shores of the Isle of Skye. There they ended one adventure and began another – Talisker.
The Talisker Xpedition Oak series is a new adventure entirely: a whisky shaped by nature. Talisker staves have travelled with renowned adventurist, James Aiken as he single-handedly traversed the same route travelled by the rowers of the exhilarating Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
Please note this is a pre-order, shipping will take 1 week from order.
After being aged for over 4 decades, the Talisker 43yr Xpedition Oak was finally finished in 10 casks, each of which included a few staves that traversed the harsh and beautiful elements of the Atlantic with wild spirit James Aiken – this is Talisker’s finest expression of Made by the Sea to date.

Bowmore 40 Year Old
Discover the extraordinary Bowmore 40 Years Old, a rare and remarkable single malt from one of Islay’s oldest distilleries. Aged for four decades in the finest oak casks, this expression embodies the very essence of Bowmore’s craftsmanship, heritage, and dedication to perfection.
Matured slowly in the distillery’s legendary No. 1 Vaults, the world’s oldest Scotch maturation warehouse. Bowmore 40 captures the delicate balance of time, tide, and tradition. The result is a whisky of exceptional depth and complexity, where rich layers of tropical fruit, dark chocolate, and aromatic smoke intertwine seamlessly.
On the nose, Bowmore 40 Years Old reveals elegant notes of mango, papaya, and honeyed oak, followed by hints of tobacco leaf and maritime salt. The palate delivers an exquisite fusion of toffee, roasted nuts, and spiced fruits, perfectly complemented by Bowmore’s signature gentle peat smoke. The finish is endlessly long, warming, and beautifully balanced, a true reflection of Bowmore’s mastery of maturation.
Encased in an exquisite hand-blown decanter and presented in a bespoke display case, Bowmore 40 stands as a collector’s treasure and a celebration of Islay’s rich whisky legacy. Each bottle is individually numbered, making it a once-in-a-lifetime addition for the most discerning whisky enthusiasts.

The Distil Your World London Edition continues The Macallan’s collaboration with the Roca Brothers and this is the first in a new series which seeks to capture the essence of the world’s great cities.
London is the first edition (New York is rumoured to be the second) and is said to offer notes of orange, caramel, curry spice and Earl Grey tea (how very English!).

Aroma Initially, cascading aromas of dried fruit and rich Sherry. Hints of wood polish and candied fruit combine with an intense note of orange oil. Baking spices – clove, nutmeg, allspice – combine before revealing a subtle menthol edge.
Taste Initial mature oak notes open into flavours of autumnal berries: blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant and cranberry. Crystallised ginger develops while traces of dark chocolate add complexity. Aniseed notes remain.
Finish A delightfully balanced fruit and oak finish; nutty notes underscore a subtle but lingering humidor edge.
Please allow for roughly 1 week to ship this bottle due to the price of the bottle.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
