On the nose, layers of rich cocoa, dried fruits, and roasted coffee unfold, lifted by subtle notes of citrus and sea salt. The palate is powerful yet harmonious, with dark chocolate, toffee, and spiced oak weaving together alongside Bowmore’s hallmark gentle smoke. Time has rounded every edge, giving the whisky a velvety mouthfeel and a finish that lingers endlessly with hints of sherry richness and soft peat warmth.

Singleton of Glen Ord 38 Year Old
£2,050.00 inc. VATThe Singleton 38-year-old is a rare and irresistibly rich single malt Scotch whisky drawn from just eight casks from The Singleton of Glen Ord distillery, a marriage of Bourbon, Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso and American Oak. At 38 years old, this whisky is approaching four decades in the making and only 1,689 bottles have been released of this extra-long double matured whisky. At natural strength, a thick, creamy texture and a vibrant, sweet start in which rich opening notes of fudge lead smoothly into a lightly spicy, intense, and fruity taste suggesting cinnamon-spiced baked apple, drying gently into an autumnal peppery warmth that envelopes the palate. Appreciably deeper in taste than its younger siblings, it shows the classic Singleton smoothness, being richly flavoured, well balanced, and easy to drink straight. The palate opens to reveal hints of orange citrus while with a dash of water more sweet flavours of vanilla ice cream and caramel fudge are perfectly balanced by just a trace of salt, still with a light touch of that Szechuan pepper warmth.

£2,995.00 inc. VATThis isn’t just a whisky release. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to own a piece of English whisky history.
Back in 2006, The English Whisky Co. laid down its very first cask — Cask 001 — the beginning of a bold new chapter in English distilling. It was hand-filled by founder James Nelstrop, crafted under the watch of renowned distiller Iain Henderson, and became the first cask produced by a licensed whisky distillery in England in over a century.
Now, after 18 years maturing undisturbed at the distillery, just 60 bottles of this extraordinary liquid are being released to the world.
Bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, with no added colour, Cask 001 offers an authentic expression of time, place, and pioneering spirit.
Each bottle is handblown by Langham Glass and presented in an exclusive collector’s box, complete with a certificate of authenticity.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
