Tobermory 21 Year Old

Original price was: £160.00.Current price is: £145.00. inc. VAT

The Tobermory 21 Year Old is an exceptional island malt that reflects both the vibrancy of its distillery and the patience of long maturation. Over two decades in oak have given the whisky layers of complexity — orchard fruits and citrus mingle with caramel, toasted oak, and delicate spice. There is a coastal freshness too, a reminder of the distillery’s home on the Isle of Mull, where sea air seeps into the casks as they rest. The palate is smooth yet structured, carrying flavours of malt sweetness and soft spice, before evolving into a long, elegant finish. Bottled with care, this expression balances the natural liveliness of Tobermory with the sophistication of age, making it an island whisky of true refinement and distinction.

Stagg Jr and Eagle Rare 10 Bundle

£148.99 inc. VAT

Stagg Barrel Proof is a formidable expression of high-proof Kentucky bourbon, bursting with character and raw intensity. The nose is dense and complex—think dark brown sugar, maple syrup, cherry compote, and heavily charred oak, with underlying notes of leather, pipe tobacco, and baking spice. The palate is rich and mouth-coating, offering a powerful combination of dark fruit preserves, burnt caramel, vanilla pod, and spicy cinnamon bark. Hints of espresso and dark chocolate add depth, while the alcohol strength delivers a bold punch without overwhelming the intricate flavors. The finish is long, warm, and dry, with a lingering trail of oak tannins, pepper, and a touch of smoked toffee. A classic barrel-proof bourbon for seasoned palates who crave intensity and layered complexity.

Eagle Rare 10 Year Old is a well-aged and elegantly balanced bourbon that exemplifies classic American whiskey craftsmanship. On the nose, it offers a graceful bouquet of toffee, orange zest, toasted oak, and a touch of herbal spice. There’s a subtle undercurrent of leather and dried flowers that adds complexity. The palate is smooth and mellow, with flavours of rich vanilla, honeyed grain, baking spices, and a hint of dark fruit—think cherry and plum. The oak influence is present but well-integrated, lending structure without overwhelming the spirit. The finish is long, clean, and gently warming, leaving behind notes of caramel, spice, and a whisper of tobacco.

To celebrate this noble moment, Royal Lochnagar selected reserve was developed in 1988.

Deep and complex. Bosky and mossy, but with hedgerow flora and fruits; sawn wood and minty-fresh pine resin; turned earth; behind this some deep toffee notes and beyond that artist’s turpentine, which keeps it fresh and balances the wood. Changes and develops continually. With water, varnish advances. Some coffee grounds, toffee, warm polythene, baked apple tart. Overall, sweet and deep. With slightly more water a hint of soft rubber and a waft of dry sherry.

Tobermory 27 Year Old 1995 Cask #1976

Original price was: £200.00.Current price is: £159.99. inc. VAT

Distilled on the Isle of Mull in 1995 and matured for 27 years in a single bourbon hogshead, cask #1976, this Tobermory release stands among the island’s most scarce long-aged expressions. The cask yielded just 294 bottles, each one representing a piece of Tobermory’s older stock — something that is becoming increasingly hard to source as demand continues to rise.

Bottled at a powerful natural cask strength of 53.4% and left unfiltered and uncoloured, this whisky captures the distillery’s trademark fruitiness and coastal brightness, enriched by decades of slow maturation. The combination of age, single-cask status and restricted outturn makes this a highly desirable release for collectors of island malts. With fewer than 300 bottles ever produced and no possibility of recreating this exact cask profile, this is a whisky defined not only by its flavour but by its genuine scarcity and one-off nature.

Ben Nevis 22 Year Old 2000

Original price was: £200.00.Current price is: £159.99. inc. VAT

This exceptionally limited release from Ben Nevis was distilled in 2000 and drawn from a single bourbon hogshead, cask #1002, which yielded just 311 bottles in total. With only one cask ever produced for this bottling, its scarcity is immediately apparent, making it a highly sought-after expression for collectors of Highland whisky.

After 22 years of slow maturation, the spirit developed a refined profile that balances fresh orchard fruits and honeyed sweetness with gentle oak spice, but the defining feature of this release is its purity and rarity: bottled at 46.2%, with no chill-filtration and no added colour, it presents the spirit exactly as the distillery intended.

Single-cask Ben Nevis bottlings of this age are now extremely uncommon, and with only a few hundred bottles ever made available worldwide, this is a whisky that highlights both the quality of the distillate and the exclusivity of the release. Once these few bottles are gone, there will never be another cask quite like it.

Bimber Four Elements Water

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.

The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein

You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:

  • The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
  • But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
  • Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
  • Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
  • Websites in professional use templating systems.
  • Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
  • When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.

This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
