Macphail’s 50 Year Old
£2,900.00 inc. VATThe MacPhail’s 50 is the oldest expression released in the current range, with the distillery of origin remaining a closely guarded secret. The casks were produced to Gordon & MacPhail’s exact specifications, providing a rare whisky with rich depth and elegance ‐ and an intriguing air of mystery.
Colour: Amber
Nose: Stewed dark fruits, warm cinnamon, milk chocolate and demerara sugar with subtle cigar box undertones. Beeswax polish and aged leather.
Taste: Vibrant orange, black pepper and sweet dried tobacco flavours with hints of apple, milk chocolate and spices.
Finish: Lingering, full and well balanced with spice and oak.
The English Sherry Cask
£67.50 inc. VATWinner of ‘WORLD’S BEST SINGLE MALT WHISKY’ at the World Whiskies Awards 2024.
After a mere 17 years of distilling, The English Whisky Company finally have enough stock to add a sherry cask matured single cask whisky to their core range. This is a momentous step for the distillery and a big milestone as it continues to demonstrate the skill of the distillery and the depth of their maturing stock. The new Sherry Cask completes this must-have trio alongside The English Original and The English Smokey.
Wafts of rich dark fruits, almonds and vanilla are followed by a wonderful taste of fruitcake, digestive biscuits, honey and figs with a hint of chocolate; all topped off with a lovely long and sweet finish.
Please note that no discount code can be used in conjunction with this offer.
Glaswegin Raspberry and Rhubarb Gin
£35.00 inc. VATFor their first ever flavoured gin, Glaswegin have added raspberry and rhubarb to their signature eight botanical blend, for an uncompromisingly fruity taste. Made with 100% natural ingredients, it is an elegant delicately pink gin with extraordinary length.
Tasting notes: Warm raspberry jam and candied rhubarb dance up from the glass. Creamy, vanilla notes reminiscent of raspberry ripple ice cream. Fresh, crisp orange flower and lemon peel cut through for a refreshing, long finish with a pink peppercorn tingle.
G&T serving suggestion: Premium tonic, fresh raspberry and mint.
Alternative serving suggestion: Ginger ale or with your favourite premium lemonade (San Pellegrino works best).
Lochlea Our Barley
£43.99 inc. VATIntroducing Lochlea’s core single malt expression, Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ sits alongside their seasonal limited-edition whiskies. It is made from and inspired by the barley that is grown on their Lochlea Farm.
Production Director John Campbell has carefully honed this recipe using his years of experience, using a combination of first-fill Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and STR casks. This results in a whole new level of depth and complexity to the final whisky.
Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
Lochlea Cask Strength Batch #1 with free tasting glass!
Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is the first in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings.
Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself! Master Blender John Campbell and the team at Lochlea have chosen Bourbon and Sherry casks this time, and every year will show further progression of their whisky.
Despite the very limited volume available in each country, the few who manage to secure a bottle will experience a true undiluted and unfiltered window into Lochlea whisky.
Lochlea Sowing Edition Second Crop with free tasting glass
Lochlea’s seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar. In the Sowing Edition (second crop) for 2023, they have used 100% fresh first fill ex-Bourbon barrels from higher up in the warehouse than 2022. The heat, faster maturation, and older spirit combine to show a clear progression from last year’s edition.

Tasting Notes
Complex aromas of vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread rounded off by caramel and a touch of oak. The palate has just a touch of sweetness, followed by spice, toasted nut and oak flavors, with a robust finish.
Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel
Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel is an exquisite and highly sought after whisky from Buffalo Trace.
Aromas of dark chocolate and caramel warm the senses, leading to lashings of vanilla, peaches and honey on the palate.
Please note: the wax seals around Blanton’s corks are prone to cracking. Please be aware that this may happen in transit, but the liquid inside will not be affected.
Blanton’s Gold
Blanton’s needs little introduction, it is a superb single barrel bourbon, with the Gold edition being distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley specifically for the UK. Each bottle is hand filled, sealed, labelled and individually numbered.
Please Note that the wax on top of the Blanton’s bottlings can be prone to cracking and we find that boxes can have small creases in corners.
Springbank 18 Year Old 5cl Sample
£14.99 inc. VATWe are pleased to offer a limited number of 5cl Springbank samples. This is the 2022 edition, comprising of 50% bourbon and 50% sherry casks.

Ryelaw Whisky
RyeLaw is the only whisky in the world made using malted rye and distilled in a Lomond Hill still.
A Lomond Hill still is a copper pot still with six copper bubble cap plates inside its neck. By using this unique type of still, the exact optimum flavour level and strength can be achieved without fluctuations – for RyeLaw this is exactly 72%. This technique is called ‘precision distilling’, where the peak of the flavour is pinpointed and collected for maturation.
The English Royal Coronation Of King Charles III

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
