Talisker 30 Year Old 2022 Release
£975.00 inc. VATThe oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been “Made By the Sea” since 1830. In fact, few single malts tell the story of their origin better. Its smell and taste instantly connect the drinker with the rugged coastal environment. Every sip is a taste of the Isle of Skye itself – a powerhouse; challenging but adored, once discovered rarely left. Like a warm welcome from a wild sea. The Talisker 30 is elegant and complex, with the classic Talisker hallmarks of pepper and smoke in a softer and subtler way.
Cambus 40 Year Old
£795.00 inc. VATOriginally founded to distill malt whisky by his father near Alloa in 1806,Cambus was re-founded in 1836 by Robert Mowbray. This forward thinking family invested in production technology and the quality of its grain was soon renowned. Cambus was now one of the most extensive grain whisky distilleries, covering eight acres when visited by Alfred Barnard in 1887. The nose is lively with fruity top notes of red apple, pineapple and gooseberry above strawberry chewy sweets, milk chocolate and toffee. The palate is light and drying with pine notes building in sweetness with salted caramel, pear drops and plum characteristics. The finish is short yet warm and gentle.
Johnnie Walker Bicentennial 28 Year Old 200th Edition
It is a celebration of where it all began back in 1820, taking you on a sensorial journey through the fragrant aisles of John Walker’s original grocery store. Rare and exceptional whiskies, including ghost stocks from the long-closed distilleries of Pittyvaich, Cambus and Port Ellen, have been explored to craft a whisky that reimagines the exotic flavours of the 1820s. All the whiskies in this limited edition have been aged for at least 28 years. The first sip opens the doors to reveal delicious layers of spice mingling with sweet honey and rich molasses inspired by the rows of tempting jars. Waves of sultanas, cocoa beans and herbal notes are carried on wisps of soft smoke leading you further down the aisles of John’s store with every sip.
Mortlach 30 Year Old Midnight Malt
£4,850.00 inc. VATA rich, deep, dark whisky to savour slowly after dark. Full bodied, with a richly winey, apple fruity and mouth watering start to delight the palate, backed by a long spicy intensity with a delicious black pepper note that really persists.
Mortlach Midnight Malt will be released in extremely limited batches, with only 350 bottles released annually.
Talisker Glacial Edge 45 Year Old
£4,425.00 inc. VATIn 1830, the MacAskill brothers rowed across the Atlantic from the Isle of Eigg to the formidable shores of the Isle of Skye. There they ended one adventure and began another – Talisker.
The Talisker Xpedition Oak series is a new adventure entirely: a whisky shaped by nature. Talisker staves have travelled with renowned adventurist, James Aiken as he single-handedly traversed the same route travelled by the rowers of the exhilarating Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
Please note this is a pre-order, shipping will take 1 week from order.
After being aged for over 4 decades, the Talisker 43yr Xpedition Oak was finally finished in 10 casks, each of which included a few staves that traversed the harsh and beautiful elements of the Atlantic with wild spirit James Aiken – this is Talisker’s finest expression of Made by the Sea to date.

Macphail’s 50 Year Old

The casks were produced to Gordon & MacPhail’s exact specifications, providing a rare whisky with rich depth and elegance ‐ and an intriguing air of mystery.

Glaswegin Raspberry and Rhubarb Gin
£35.00 inc. VATFor their first ever flavoured gin, Glaswegin have added raspberry and rhubarb to their signature eight botanical blend, for an uncompromisingly fruity taste. Made with 100% natural ingredients, it is an elegant delicately pink gin with extraordinary length.
Tasting notes: Warm raspberry jam and candied rhubarb dance up from the glass. Creamy, vanilla notes reminiscent of raspberry ripple ice cream. Fresh, crisp orange flower and lemon peel cut through for a refreshing, long finish with a pink peppercorn tingle.
G&T serving suggestion: Premium tonic, fresh raspberry and mint.
Alternative serving suggestion: Ginger ale or with your favourite premium lemonade (San Pellegrino works best).
Lochlea Our Barley
£43.99 inc. VATIntroducing Lochlea’s core single malt expression, Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ sits alongside their seasonal limited-edition whiskies. It is made from and inspired by the barley that is grown on their Lochlea Farm.
Production Director John Campbell has carefully honed this recipe using his years of experience, using a combination of first-fill Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and STR casks. This results in a whole new level of depth and complexity to the final whisky.
Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
Lochlea Sowing Edition Second Crop with free tasting glass
Lochlea’s seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar. In the Sowing Edition (second crop) for 2023, they have used 100% fresh first fill ex-Bourbon barrels from higher up in the warehouse than 2022. The heat, faster maturation, and older spirit combine to show a clear progression from last year’s edition.
Blanton’s Gold
Blanton’s needs little introduction, it is a superb single barrel bourbon, with the Gold edition being distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley specifically for the UK. Each bottle is hand filled, sealed, labelled and individually numbered.
Please Note that the wax on top of the Blanton’s bottlings can be prone to cracking and we find that boxes can have small creases in corners.
Ryelaw Whisky
RyeLaw is the only whisky in the world made using malted rye and distilled in a Lomond Hill still.
A Lomond Hill still is a copper pot still with six copper bubble cap plates inside its neck. By using this unique type of still, the exact optimum flavour level and strength can be achieved without fluctuations – for RyeLaw this is exactly 72%. This technique is called ‘precision distilling’, where the peak of the flavour is pinpointed and collected for maturation.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
