Whilst the distillery remains a closely guarded secret, what we can tell you is that this is a sherry cask matured, single malt whisky from Speyside. The casks were produced to Gordon & MacPhail’s exact specifications, delivering a complex, rich, and elegant whisky with sweet sherry influences and an intriguing air of mystery at 46%.
Colour: Amber
Nose: Stewed fruit notes combined with apple, roasted nuts, and subtle chocolate. Honeycomb and dried apricot notes are present.
Taste: Spicy to start, followed by blackberry, raspberry, and apple. Milk chocolate, tangerine, and oak also come to the fore.
Finish: Medium finish with hints of menthol and lasting cocoa.
Cask Strength Batch 2 is the second in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings. Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself!
Cask Strength Batch 2 showcases something entirely new from Lochlea, as Production Director John Campbell has selected a combination of Oloroso Sherry, STR and PX casks from their warehouse that work particularly well at higher strength, amplifying the signature fruit, nut, and cereal flavours.
This whisky opens with apples, peach syrup, and marmalade. Then comes wild lavender and rose petals on the palate. The finish is long and continues with more fruit and a hint of black pepper.

Matured in the finest hand-selected first fill oak casks, the twenty one year old single malt delivers sweet Sherry aromas. Subtle spice, Seville orange and raspberry follow with a soft smoky finish.
Aromas: Sweet Sherry aromas with underlying citrus, ginger and oak notes, accompanied by a touch of smoke.
Palate: Sweet initially with cracked black pepper, Seville orange and raspberry flavours lead to baked apple and subtle spice.
Finish: Charred oak and soft smoke.

Indri single malt is distilled in Indri, Haryana, near the Himalayan foothills, near the Yamuna basin.
This remarkable single malt is made from indigenous six-row barley grown for hundreds of years in Rajasthan. Matured with care since 2010, Indri–Trini is also the first Indian whisky to be produced in three different wooden barrels: in ex-bourbon, ex-wine, and PX sherry casks.

After ageing the straight rye whiskey for 4 to 5 years in high-char new American oak barrels, Sagamore’s distillers transfer the aged whiskey into toasted wave stave barrels for an additional 18 months. The increased surface area of the low-char, medium-plus-toast staves imparts Double Oak’s delightful caramel, toffee, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. The classic Maryland-style rye whiskey is reimagined through this innovative ageing process and then proofed with limestone-filtered water from Sagamore’s spring house built in 1909. Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
