A refined aged rum with over 160 years of heritage, Bacardi Reserva Ocho is a masterfully crafted spirit matured for a minimum of eight years in oak casks. The Lakes The One Colheita Cask Finish
Colheita (Col-yate-a) means “harvest”, referring to the exclusive use of grapes from a single crop to create a vintage port.
The singular blend of The Lakes Single Malt and select grain and malt Scotch whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay is then finished in rare Colheita casks to create this rich and warming expression of The One.
Peach cobbler, fresh apricot, and a whiff of autumnal smoke on the nose lead to a palate of ripe plums, vanilla custard and warming cinnamon with a rich and comforting finish.
Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour, with only the natural colours derived from our oak casks in every bottle.
Enjoy as you please. Sip neat, or add a few drops of water to open up the flavour profile.
Davidoff Yamasa Piramides – Single
Davidoff Yamasá Pirámides is a bold celebration of terroir, complexity, and passion — a cigar born from over two decades of soil innovation and blending mastery. Named after the Yamasá region in the Dominican Republic, where Davidoff transformed once-unforgiving soil into fertile ground, this cigar embodies depth, intensity, and uniqueness.
With its distinctive pyramid shape, the Yamasá Pirámides concentrates flavour while offering a smooth, progressive draw. The blend features a Dominican Yamasá wrapper and binder, complemented by rich filler tobaccos from Nicaragua (Estelí and Condega) and the Dominican Republic. From the first puff, expect earthy richness and roasted coffee, gradually giving way to notes of nutmeg, cedar, and black pepper. A natural sweetness lingers in the background, creating a perfectly balanced medium-to-full-bodied experience.
Meticulously constructed, this 52-ring gauge, 6 1/8-inch cigar provides a 50–60-minute smoke that’s ideal for thoughtful moments or evening indulgence. Pair it with a spiced rum, aged whisky, or dark red wine to elevate its complex flavour profile.
The Yamasá Pirámides isn’t just a cigar — it’s a statement of Davidoff’s vision and tenacity. For aficionados seeking something distinctive and daring, it delivers bold character without sacrificing finesse.

Davidoff Winston Churchill Robusto Statesman – Single
A tribute to the strength and complexity of Sir Winston Churchill, the Davidoff Winston Churchill Robusto Statesman is bold, refined, and utterly captivating. This full-bodied cigar combines tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Ecuador — a global blend mirroring the global influence of its namesake.
The Robusto format provides a 45–60 minute experience, starting with notes of oak and earth, soon joined by roasted coffee, spice, and hints of leather and dark chocolate. The Ecuadorian wrapper adds a layer of smoothness and sheen, ensuring an even burn and perfect draw throughout.
What makes the Statesman special is its balance between power and poise. It evolves gracefully without overpowering the palate, maintaining harmony from foot to nub. Crafted for discerning smokers who admire character and consistency, this cigar shines best with a glass of single malt whisky, dark rum, or bold red wine. It’s not just a smoke — it’s a statement.

2017 Saint-Estèphe, Château Le Crock, Bordeaux, France
£36.80 inc. VATChâteau Le Crock’s 2017 vintage in Saint-Estèphe was miraculous for its avoidance of the frosts that affected the rest of Bordeaux. Following a very dry autumn and winter, mild temperatures in February sparked an early bud-burst that began towards the end of March. The vines were fortunately spared the effects of the late April frosts thanks to their proximity to the Gironde river. Rainfall in June and good weather throughout the summer meant that fruit set was good, and veraison occurred eight to ten days earlier than usual. The harvest was also one of the earliest on record, producing richly coloured, well-balanced wines of great flavour intensity and acidity.
Les Pèlerins de Lafon-Rochet 2016
Les Pèlerins is the second wine of Château Lafon-Rochet, offering a more approachable take on the estate’s classic Saint-Estèphe style. The 2016 vintage is a fine example of balance and structure from a superb Bordeaux year.
On the nose, it presents dark berries, cassis, and plum, laced with notes of graphite, cedarwood, and a subtle earthy undertone. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but polished tannins, showing blackcurrant, cherry, and hints of liquorice and spice. A touch of mineral tension and well-integrated oak give it freshness and definition.
The finish is refined and persistent, marked by a savoury edge and restrained power. Drinking well now with a decant, but will continue to evolve nicely over the next few years.
2017 Saint-Julien, Château Moulin Riche, Bordeaux, France
For Château Moulin Riche, 2017 is known as the year of the frost, luckily vineyards in Saint-Julien were largely unaffected. Winter was slightly warmer than average, and the conditions were balmy until a large drop in temperature in late April. May brought sunshine and warmth, and the summer months remained warm until August. The cooler weather allowed the grapes to maintain their acidity and bright aromatics. Early September saw some rains prior to harvest which gave the vines a boost to complete the final stages of ripening.
Benromach 10 Year Old
Only ever matured in the finest first-fill sherry and bourbon barrels, Benromach ten year old is a signature whisky that delivers time after time! Having been awarded Gold at the Scotch Whisky Masters awards, you won’t go wrong with this whisky as an everyday drinker!
Aromas: Sweet green apple and pear complement creamy dark honey. Soft vanilla develops alongside gentle smoke.
Palate: Smooth flavours of malted cereal and stewed fruit combine with warm toffee and a hint of black cherry.
Finish: Full bodied finish with malted cereal persevering and lingering soft smoke.
Ardbeg 10 Year Old
Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.
Non-chill filtered.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
