Possibly the most famous whisky in the world, Johnie Walker have honed their craft into a precision process that respects the many elements shaping a Scotch Whisky’s final flavour and character, including the type of grains and yeast used, the shape of the still, and the length of time it’s matured in the cask.
Only one in 10,000 casks – including some from long-closed ‘ghost’ distilleries – are hand-selected to craft this exceptionally smooth whisky.
Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is the first in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings.
Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself! Master Blender John Campbell and the team at Lochlea have chosen Bourbon and Sherry casks this time, and every year will show further progression of their whisky.
Despite the very limited volume available in each country, the few who manage to secure a bottle will experience a true undiluted and unfiltered window into Lochlea whisky.
Lochlea’s seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar. In the Sowing Edition (second crop) for 2023, they have used 100% fresh first fill ex-Bourbon barrels from higher up in the warehouse than 2022. The heat, faster maturation, and older spirit combine to show a clear progression from last year’s edition.

Tasting Notes
Complex aromas of vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread rounded off by caramel and a touch of oak. The palate has just a touch of sweetness, followed by spice, toasted nut and oak flavors, with a robust finish.
Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel is an exquisite and highly sought after whisky from Buffalo Trace.
Aromas of dark chocolate and caramel warm the senses, leading to lashings of vanilla, peaches and honey on the palate.
Please note: the wax seals around Blanton’s corks are prone to cracking. Please be aware that this may happen in transit, but the liquid inside will not be affected.
Blanton’s needs little introduction, it is a superb single barrel bourbon, with the Gold edition being distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley specifically for the UK. Each bottle is hand filled, sealed, labelled and individually numbered.
Please Note that the wax on top of the Blanton’s bottlings can be prone to cracking and we find that boxes can have small creases in corners.
RyeLaw is the only whisky in the world made using malted rye and distilled in a Lomond Hill still.
A Lomond Hill still is a copper pot still with six copper bubble cap plates inside its neck. By using this unique type of still, the exact optimum flavour level and strength can be achieved without fluctuations – for RyeLaw this is exactly 72%. This technique is called ‘precision distilling’, where the peak of the flavour is pinpointed and collected for maturation.
A first for The English Whisky Company, whisky matured in a sherry butt. These lovely big oak sherry casks have imparted wonderfully delicate flavours to our whisky; with no peat in the whisky, the flavours shine though resulting in a wonderful taste reminiscent of sticky toffee pudding. What more could anyone ask for.
This is a highly limited release of just 2,850 bottles.

A wonderful aroma of dried fruits; on tasting you are inundated with chocolate, bitter orange and sticky toffee pudding.
A small batch release from The English Whisky Company, bottled from sherry hogsheads used to matured this lightly peated whisky for 9 years. A rare release for which we have limited stock available.

Creamy, rich and oily palate with a soft spicy smoky sweetness. Dry with oaky, wood overtones. The fruits come across with the cherries dominating. Aniseed and liquorice. Toffee and honey on the finish.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.

You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
