Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Aux Chailloux’ 1er Cru Domaine Sève 2022
Domaine Sève’s Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Aux Chailloux’ 1er Cru 2022 is a beautifully sculpted expression of Burgundian Chardonnay, crafted from one of the region’s most prized limestone-rich parcels. The 2022 vintage delivers remarkable clarity, finesse and a vibrant mineral backbone.
On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of white peach, citrus zest and crisp apple, supported by subtle notes of almond, acacia blossom and fine oak. The palate is elegant yet concentrated, offering a harmonious blend of ripe orchard fruit, refined minerality and a refreshing salinity characteristic of the Aux Chailloux terroir. A long, graceful finish leaves hints of lemon curd and chalky stone.
This is a superb food wine, pairing beautifully with shellfish, seared scallops, creamy poultry dishes or soft cheeses. A benchmark 1er Cru Pouilly-Fuissé with both immediate charm and ageing potential.

2020 Tenuta la Novella, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
From the sun-drenched hills of the Chianti Classico heartland comes this exceptional Riserva from Tenuta la Novella—a wine that captures the depth, soul, and nobility of Sangiovese in its purest form.
Certified organic and crafted from carefully selected estate-grown grapes, the 2020 vintage offers an elevated expression of Chianti Classico. Aged for 24 months in large oak barrels and refined further in bottle, this Riserva is structured, complex, and built for longevity.
In the glass, it opens with classic aromas of sour cherry, dried rose petals, cedar, and a hint of balsamic. 2022 Marlborough Pinot Noir, Greywacke, New Zealand
Deliciously fragrant Marlborough pinot noir, packed with blackberries and kola nut, intermingled with scents of rose petal and woodsmoke. The palate is medium-bodied and bright, layered with black liquorice, plum pudding and allspice. Finely structured with intense varietal expression, the abundant dark fruit flavours are laced with silky tannins and earthy tones to give a lingering and beguiling finish.
The 2022 growing season was marked by significant rain. The wet weather began in winter, carrying through until late spring – a stark contrast to 2021. December and January continued warm and excellent vineyard growth was experienced across the region when ex-tropical cyclone Dovi dropped 160 mm of rain over the first three weekends of February. Fortunately this coincided with cooler temperatures and southerly breezes, minimising disease pressure. Despite plenty of challenges the grapes enjoyed a successful ripening season and the resulting harvest was of excellent quality.
2023 Terenzuola, Cinque Terre DOC Bianco
Crafted from ancient vineyards perched high above the Ligurian Sea, the 2023 Cinque Terre DOC Bianco by Terenzuola is a rare and beautiful expression of coastal winemaking. Grown on steep, terraced slopes in the breathtaking towns of Riomaggiore, Manarola, and Vernazza, this wine captures the soul of Cinque Terre with every sip.
The blend brings together native grape varieties—Bosco, Vermentino, Albarola, and Ruzzese—each contributing their own character. Bosco offers structure and gentle tannins, Vermentino layers in citrus and wild herbs, while Albarola and Ruzzese add bright acidity and mineral lift. The result? A wine that is naturally balanced, full of texture, and utterly refreshing.
Farming is done by hand across just 1.5 hectares, with vines ranging from 80 years old to the newly planted bush-trained alberelli. Yields are low—just 5 tonnes per hectare—ensuring intensity and concentration in every bottle. After a gentle skin maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by 6 months of ageing on the lees, adding richness and complexity.
What makes this wine truly special is the “Costa da Posa” vineyard, a dramatic natural amphitheatre carved out before Roman times, its dry-stone walls standing for over 1,000 years. From this incredible site comes a wine with salinity, minerality, and a whisper of the sea breeze.
Expect aromas of lemon zest, Mediterranean herbs, and white peach, with a palate that is textured, precise, and long-lasting. It’s a wine that pairs beautifully with seafood, pasta al limone, or simply enjoyed chilled on a sunny afternoon.
The 2023 vintage is a shining example of why Cinque Terre whites are so sought after. With limited production and a true sense of place, this is a bottle to savour—and to share.
2023 Yarra Valley Chardonnay, Giant Steps Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia
£34.00 inc. VATGiant Steps 2023 vintage saw cool and wet conditions throughout the entire growing season, delaying both the ignition and the commencement of this tough vintage. Spring was often wet in the Yarra Valley, with record volumes of rain from September until December. The frequent downpours elevated disease pressure but also made access to the vineyards an arduous task from waterlogged earth. A small stretch of warmer conditions dried out the vineyards, followed by well timed rainfall rolling into summer. Much credit of this vintage goes to the appearance of sun in the critical weeks of flowering, allowing a healthy berry set and abundant pristine fruit. The 2023 wines of Giant Step are light and expressive, with varietal typicality shining through.
Davidoff Anniversario Short Perfecto – Single
Davidoff Aniversario Short Perfecto is a striking cigar that delivers elegance and depth in a compact format. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, its unique double-tapered shape is both visually distinctive and functionally brilliant, concentrating flavour from the first puff.
The cigar opens with a smooth draw and releases creamy notes of cedar, almond, and white pepper, progressing into richer layers of leather, dried fruit, and subtle spice. This perfectly balanced complexity comes from an Ecuadorian wrapper and a meticulously blended Dominican binder and filler.
Despite its smaller size, the Short Perfecto offers a 30–40-minute smoke with outstanding depth and progression, ideal for aficionados seeking a refined experience in a shorter timeframe. Its rich aroma and impeccable burn make it equally suited to daytime enjoyment or an after-dinner indulgence.
Whether you’re a long-time Davidoff fan or exploring the Aniversario range for the first time, the Short Perfecto stands as a shining example of Davidoff’s craftsmanship and pursuit of perfection. Pair with a vintage Champagne or a smooth Cognac for the ultimate luxury escape.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
