2021 `Zeta` Cebreros Garnacha, Pegaso, Sierra de Gredos , Spain
‘Zeta’ Pegaso 2021 is ruby in colour, this wine is floral and expressive on the nose. Primary aromas of red fruits blend with complex nuances of minerality and spice. The palate has a good weight sensation, mainly given by the intense and deep fruit flavours, whereas the finish is fresh, juicy and clear, yet persistent.
The 2021 vintage started with a mild autumn. Winter was marked by the strong Filomena storm that brought 40 cm of snow and 10 days with temperatures below 10ºC. The year continued with a late bud break, followed by a frost at the beginning of April that had an impact on the volumes. Summer was generally mild except for a heatwave that was accompanied by wildfires in the villages of Cebrero. Rain at the key harvest time was another challenge in 2021, but with thorough grape selection, the quality of the wines was excellent.
2023 Terenzuola, Vermentino ‘Vignebasse’ IGT Toscana
From the rolling Tuscan hills just beyond the Ligurian border, the 2023 Vermentino ‘Vignebasse’ by Terenzuola delivers a vibrant, expressive white that brings sun, sea, and stone into perfect harmony. Grown on the estate’s lower vineyards—le vignebasse—this is a wine that showcases Vermentino at its most elegant and refreshing.
On the nose, it bursts with aromas of citrus blossom, ripe pear, and a touch of wild rosemary. The palate is zesty and mineral-driven, with notes of lemon peel, white peach, and a subtle saline edge, all wrapped in a clean, mouth-watering finish.
What sets this Vermentino apart is the winemaking: cold maceration and careful fermentation in stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by time on the lees to add texture and complexity. It’s a beautifully structured white, balancing freshness with depth.
Perfect as an aperitivo or paired with seafood, grilled vegetables, or creamy pasta dishes, this is a go-to bottle for those who love crisp whites with personality.

2021 `Palazzo della Torre`, Allegrini, Veneto, Italy
£21.00 inc. VATThe 2021 vintage was marked by cool temperatures with a significant drop during April. These conditions led to a delay in budburst. As a result, the vegetative development of the vines consequently moved forward by 15-20 days compared to the previous year. In mid-September, some ‘providential’ rainfall was followed by a short summer, where temperature soared to 34-35°C and temperature variations of around 15°C. By harvest, the grapes had attained excellent phenolic ripeness, with crunchy berry flavours and elevated sugar concentrations. The loose (non-compact) bunches are particularly suitable for drying and were a factor that characterised this particular harvest.

80 Proof / Aged Minimum 5 Years
2022 Salta Malbec, Bodega Colomé `Estate Series`, Argentina
£22.00 inc. VATBodega Colome and the Calchaquí Valley enjoyed excellent conditions in 2022. The total rainfall was usual, 160 mm, with a very good crop in terms of both quantity and quality. During maturation, the work on the canopy allowed for a good circulation of air in the vineyard, which helped prevent botrytis from developing. At the same time there were many cloudy days which gave the fruit freshness and avoided sunburn.
2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, No Fine Print, California, USA
No Fine Print 2022 is a delicious balance of fruit-forward ripeness and fresh acidity. This wine has a bright, black fruit character along with a rich, round mouthfeel.
The 2022 vintage yielded excellent quality fruit. Following several drought years in California, substantial winter rainfall helped to replenish water reserves. This was followed by a dry March. Spring frosts in April and May reduced yields. The warm late summer and autumn provided excellent ripening conditions and harvest started two weeks ahead of average. Overall, yields were slightly down, but concentration was very good.

2023 Pouilly-Fumé, Domaine de Bel Air, Loire, France
£22.99 inc. VATThe Domaine de Bel Air 2023 vintage in the Loire began with a cool and relatively rainy winter which replenished soil water reserves after the hot and dry 2022 vintage. The vineyards largely escaped the threat of spring frosts and flowering and fruit set took place under excellent dry and sunny conditions at the end of May. It was very dry during July and August and some welcome showers arrived in September and gave the vines a necessary boost to complete the final stages of ripening. The harvest began in mid-September and the quality of the fruit was excellent.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
