Full of freshness, the bouquet offers refreshing notes of pink grapefruit, blood orange and cherries, followed by vegetal notes of wild strawberry and rhubarb. The initial delicate structure becomes more robust, with a finish of plum and damson and the coral pink colour presents glints of orange and fine, persistent bubbles.

The first of a series of ‘cuvées d’exception’ to be released in the lead-up to Moët & Chandon’s 300th anniversary in 2043, it presents a rare opportunity for those who really love champagne to add an historical release to their collection.

Chandon Brut NV Sparkling Wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and is produced using the méthode traditionelle, with a dosage of 6g/l. A Chardonnay led méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine, Chandon Brut is crafted as a fresh and elegant aperitif style wine, with a soft, generous palate and a crisp finish. From Estate-owned vineyards, located at the Andes foothills in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. The winemaking team behind Chandon includes Chef de Cave, Onofre Arcos and Senior Winemaker, Gustavo Sanchez.

Champagne Number 1, which is known today as Krug Grande Cuvée, is the fullest expression of Champagne, re-created every year, regardless of annual climate variations. Krug Grande Cuvée is a blend of over 120 different wines from more than 10 different years.

Champagne Pol Roger created their Prestige Cuvée in homage to Sir Winston Churchill mindful of the qualities that he sought in his champagne : robustness, a full-bodied character and relative maturity. The exact blend is a closely guarded family secret but it is undeniable that the composition would meet with the approval of the man to whom it is dedicated : “My tastes are simple, I am easily satisfied with the best”. Pinot Noir predominates, providing structure, breadth and robustness whilst Chardonnay contributes elegance, finesse and subtlety. Composed exclusively of grapes sourced from Grands Crus Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards which were already under vine during Churchill’s lifetime. Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is only made in the very best vintages and is always released later than the other vintage dated Champagnes from Pol Roger, marking Churchill’s appreciation for older wines.

The Brut Réserve is a blend in equal parts of the three champenois grape varieties: pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay from 30 different crus. 25% reserve wines are used to produce this cuvée:

Extra Brut Extra Old is a cuvée collection crafted from a unique blend of prestigious old reserve wines. In 2013, Cellar Master created a unique blend composed exclusively of reserve wines, in order to express the quintessence of Yellow Label and pay tribute to Madame Clicquot and her innovative and visionary process. Thus, was born the Extra Brut Extra Old cuvée, particularly singular champagne.

Extra Brut Extra Old 3 is a complex, nuanced blend of eight of the House’s prestigious reserve wines – 1990, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2014, aged for a minimum of five years. Pinot Noir dominates the blend (50%) and provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, followed by Chardonnay (30%) which adds finesse and elegance essential in a perfectly balanced wine, and then Meunier (20%) that rounds out the blend.

Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.

You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:

  • The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
  • But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
  • Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
  • Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
  • Websites in professional use templating systems.
  • Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
  • When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.

This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.
