WHISTLEPIG LAUNCHES OLDEST WHISKEY TO DATE

Whistlepig 25 scaled

Last year WhistlePig launched the Béhôlden, a 21 year old whiskey that at the time was the oldest release from the distillery. WhistlePig have now followed up with a 25 year old, called ‘The Badönkådonk’.

This whiskey is a single malt from Canada that’s been aged in American Oak for 25 years. It then spent the time in cabernet sauvignon barrels from the prestigious Silver Oak Cellars in California. The wine barrel finishing ‘lend notes of stone fruits, cedar wood, and transcendental tastiness,” said WhistlePig. The distillery appear to be very confident that this liquid will convert Scotch drinkers, as well as bourbon fans.

The Badönkådonk will be released in limitied quantities, and will retail for $2,000 / £1,600. We envisage the Badönkådonk hitting mich higher prices on the secondary market!
