THE MACALLAN HOME COLLECTION: A CELEBRATION OF WHISKY, ART, AND THE MAJESTIC RIVER SPEY

The Macallan have launched the second whisky in their Home Collection, River Spey – the new release that pays tribute to Macallan’s roots and the beauty of their birthplace, the River Spey. This whisky release includes a unique package featuring the River Spey in Winter, painted by the artist Michelle Lucking.

The Macallan who are known for their commitment to environmental stewardship and are ‘Butterfly Marked certified’, proudly preserving a 1.5-mile stretch of the River Spey within their estate.

Michelle Lucking used a unique technique with natural pigmented pastels to create six original paintings of the River Spey. Three of these pieces are included in an art folio that comes with the whisky. 

The whisky itself comes in at 44.8% from a combination of European oak sherry seasoned casks, American oak sherry seasoned casks, and refill casks. Flavours include raisins, treacle sponge, and dark fruit.

The Macallan Home Collection was launched in 2022 to celebrate the distillery’s origins, this second release will retail for £240.
