GOLD FOR WHISKYMAKER’S RESERVE NO.7

The Lakes, a renowned Englush whisky company based in the hear of the Lake District are celebrating their latest award for one of their single malt whiskies. The Whiskymaker’s Resere No.7 which is the final flourish in their internationally-acclaimed series, was awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the 25th Spirits Selection by CMB.
The Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has grown a reputation for its meticulous selection process. Spirits that are judged range include whisky, cognac and tequila, with submissions coming from across the globe in the hope of being internationally recognised by a panel of experts.
Hosted in Treviso, Italy, this year’s event took place from September 28th to October 1st and saw the judging panel evaluate and classify a whopping 2,383 spirits from 57 countries spanning across five continents.
The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.7, was one of only six single malt whiskies to be bestowed with this accolade.
The whisky was presented with a Revelation trophy which is awarded Grand Gold Members following a second round of tasting and deliberation by the panel.
This honour recognises “innovative products which meet present-day consumer expectations” and are “selected for unquestionable quality”. As one of 18 spirits selected, The Lakes can take immense pride in the recognition received for the bold last chapter in The Whiskymaker’s Reserve series.
